I'm Livin' the Dream... Coach White

My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me; and I give eternal life to them, and they shall never perish; and no one shall snatch them out of My hand.  The Father who has given them to Me is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father's hand.  I and the Father are One.

John 10: 27 - 31

Thank you for all of the great times you've given me that still formed me to be a great man today. To be a student with out direction, a black young man at that, you gave us what we need , and spoke truth to us. I know this story isn't true, because the good Lord took your spirit before you felt any pain. Antoine Dowdy, thank you for all you have given me that I can't repay. To your family, friends, and people, I know this man will be in heaven without a doubt. He has saved so many souls, and children, Black Young children, while he was here that's a ticket that money cannot buy. He was a father to us , thank you for your time and help while you were here . I love long time lol . See you one heaven ,thank you. May god and Yhwh bless

Ok my friend, I've waited a long time to do this. I can't understand why you're gone. You were my brother and I miss you like crazy. You were always the best at what you did. You became a christian and you became a leader in the church. You became a coach and became a head coach. You were the best man in my wedding and you made us feel special. You made me realize that Merle rules! We loved the Oilers together. We hurt together when they lost. We had our best years as coaches together. We made history at Taylor. You were the brother I never had. I can go on and on about the dumb things we did. I just want to talk to you one more time. I miss my friend.

Peggy White Memory of Coach White by Jonte Berry April 13, 2017

Where to begin.....

Coach White was so great to me.  I was closer to him than my own father.

I remember my Freshman year, we were playing Mayde Creek.  Coach White came up to me and said, 'Your name is Jonte, right"?  I replied, "Yes sir".  He said, "You want to play D-Line"?  My reply was "Hell yes"!  He told me as long as he was a coach at Taylor, I would NEVER play D-Line....LOL

During my Freshman year we used to have practice during 7th period before we had football practice after school.  One day Coach White made a Mexican guy and an African-American guy sit like Indians with their heads bobbing back and forth like they did in the 1800's for the entire 7th period.  They had written a report on Jeff Gordon.  Fortunately, I did my report of Kevin Harvick.

Brian Randle Trevor "T. WHITE" was and still is my guy! I talk him on a regular basis and sometimes ask myself what would T do in this situation. ( scared money never wins) was one of his favorite quotes. I can still hear him saying that with a devilish grin, and chewing the hell out of that gum! Hahaha T gave me my start in Alief for that I'll forever be grateful. He was a good dude. T. WHITE my guy!

Ritual is a human need. Rabbi Andrew Straus postulates that the physical act of holding and placing the stone is a tangible reminder of the person's continuing presence in life in spite of the physical absence signified by the stone's release.

Thank you to whoever left the two stones on Trevor's headstone.

Trevor, I think about you often and all the good times we had growing up together in the sunshine and fresh air of Bernard Timbers!  YOU AND JACKIE AND LARISSA and all of us were able to escape the real world and run about the woods, creeks and rivers and BE KIDS!  I know you passed it on to the boys.  Keep looking out for all of us.  LOVE YOU, LITTLE BROTHER!

My sons play football at George Ranch and, since our first encounter with Coach White before school even opened, we were excited and energized by Coach White's enthusiasm, his dedication to excellence, and his desire to teach the boys playing for him more than just football, but to be young gentlemen as well. We are deeply saddened by his loss and our heartfelt prayers go out on behalf of his family that they may find comfort and peace during these terrible times. May God bless you all.
