Ritual is a human need. Rabbi Andrew Straus postulates that the physical act of holding and placing the stone is a tangible reminder of the person's continuing presence in life in spite of the physical absence signified by the stone's release.

Trevor, I think about you often and all the good times we had growing up together in the sunshine and fresh air of Bernard Timbers! YOU AND JACKIE AND LARISSA and all of us were able to escape the real world and run about the woods, creeks and rivers and BE KIDS! I know you passed it on to the boys. My sons play football at George Ranch and, since our first encounter with Coach White before school even opened, we were excited and energized by Coach White's enthusiasm, his dedication to excellence, and his desire to teach the boys playing for him more than just football, but to be young gentlemen as well. We are deeply saddened by his loss and our heartfelt prayers go out on behalf of his family that they may find comfort and peace during these terrible times. May God bless you all.

I remember Trevor as my youth minister and a coach at my high school about 12 years ago. I will always remember his laugh and his sense of humor. Praying for his family!!

I remember when Coach White came to Tidehaven to coach- we were juniors i think (about 12 years ago!) he was a great coach, everyone who met him loved him, he was dedicated to the church, he brought FCA to our school and started 5th quarter at the Baptist Church in Markham... he will not be forgotten!

All praises be to our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ for Coach Trevor Lane White.
Coach White was a great Man, Father, and Coach, he mentored my son Jonte`Lewis Berry at Alief Taylor High School for 4yrs and had a profound impact on his life and his football career. This Coach would see to it that my son got to every practice because I had to work and Coach White made sure he was picked up and brought home during summer practices as well as in the football season. He called me every week to let me know how my son was progressing in his sport.He was a caring, compassionate, loving person, that had a big heart for all the children he coached on that team and at Taylor High School. Being a divorced single parent he shared with me that he too grew up in a divorced household and knew just how difficult it was to raise a son alone and he helped me. I am eternally grateful for what he did for me and my son. The character of Our Father Who Art in Heaven is the character that Coach Trevor Lane White portrayed I sure with his own sons and to every child that he had contact with may the Lord comfort his sons and family at this time in their lives. His light lives forever!
